Configure VPN OCI

i'm using strongswan on an ubuntu machine that i've configured as a vpn gateway. yesterday i ran some tests and the vpn gateway managed to communicate correctly with the cloud network. later in the evening nothing worked. however the two VPN ipsec tunnels on the cloud are UP and from my vpn gateway the tunnels are also active. i don't understand what could be the problem.

my vCN already had a subnet with its default routing table and its default security list. i added my subnet, another routing table that would contain my routing rules and another security list for my subnet. can the security list and the default routing table of the vCN prevent my traffic even if it has nothing to do with my subnet?
