SYMPTOMS

Ksplice Uptrack service has experienced a transient error

Error Message:
Ksplice upgrade failed: Command: ['ksplice', '-y', 'all', 'upgrade', '--no-yum'] failed (4): stderr: stdout: Nothing to do.

The Ksplice Uptrack service has experienced a transient error. Please wait a few minutes and try again. If this error persists, please contact Oracle support for assistance.


CHANGES

Updating an OCI instance using OS management, Package Install/Upgrade is successful but ksplice update failed error.


CAUSE

The ksplice update failed because the oracle cloud agent is also getting updated.

Notice that it is describing the upgrade occurring for "oracle-cloud-agent".
