Is there a limit to the amount of different Document Types that you can setup?

I want to now this because for the archive and purge function. A lot of countries/continentent have a different approach on this regarding privacy legislation. I need to now how flexible we can be with this. Hopefully someone knows this answer, as I couldn't find documentation on this matter.
