Why a printed pick order was able to be changed without backordering the line(s) or the order?

The Sales order line is created with 1444000, Inventory released the lines and pick slip has been printed.

Then user revised the qty to 144000 how system allowed to make the changes after the Inventory picked?

Business case:

My picker was in the middle of picking this order. When queried the order and part in Oracle I only saw one line of 144,000 and error notes. I clicked the error notes and closed the errors leaving me with only the line of 144,000. No where on the printed order does this line exist meaning the order was changed; This causes extra work as we have to return material to the racks, back order and re-allocate to the new line qty, plus we do not know what location this 144,000 are allocated against which will cause inventory errors.

Howdy, Stranger!
