How to make action chain load in background

Hi Experts

How to make a action chain to process in background without making the page load delayed.

I have one REST API to be called whenever the application is opened by user, but until the action chain completes completely it is not allowing me to load the -page, here i'm using vbenter event on applcation.

How to achieve this? please help
