Not able to update the 'Origin' (LeadOrigin) field on Leads Details page

We are trying to update the value of the OOTB 'Origin' (LeadOrigin) field in the Sales Lead object. We tried multiple ways to update this like:

  1. From UI: Here on the Leads details page, the field is Read-only. Even tried making the field updateable from the field level and Page-level in application composer but it did not change.
  2. From Postman: Tried to update the field using the 'PATCH' method via the REST call but got a message saying: "Attribute Origin in view object Sales Lead cannot be set."
