Does Shipment Cost get added back to Order Total?

I am following a whitepaper link to interface shipping costs to AR:

FA: SCM: Shipping: How To Interface the Shipment Costs to Account Receivables from Order Management ? (Doc ID 2528180.1)


With this we are able to add shipment costs during shipment and that is showing up on the Order line as a Freight charge. But the order total is not getting updated with the Freight charge. Is this expected functionality?
