Can Duplicate Check be insensitive to accents?
Summary:
This question is applicable to both Duplicate Check in ORC and Person Duplicate Check in Core HR.
Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):
We noticed that the system doesn't recognize a potential duplicate when there is a difference in accent. For example, employee Ariana Peltz has an existing internal candidate profile. She applies in the external career site as an external candidate, with the name Ariána Peltz. During Check Duplicates in ORC, the system does not recognize a potential duplicate and does not recommend any potential duplicates.
During Move to HR, the same thing happens. Instead of having the application moved to HR - Error During Processing because there is a potential duplicate, it proceeds in creating a new person record and a pending worker assignment.
