Journals Having Multiple Lines for the Same Code Combination

Summary:

Scenario: User is trying to create a Journal in the Primary ledger having same combinations across multiple lines in the same journal header

Now, while posting this journal , there is no issue in the Primary ledger, however we are getting issue in the Reporting ledger as Unbalanced Journal.

However, when we are merging this Journal lines per combination (single line per combination) & uploading them , there is no rounding off issue in the RL.

User, is insisting on creating multiple lines with same combinations, as they want to capture different descriptions

My Q's are:

a. Is this a recommended practice ? I mean having multiple lines with the same combinations?
