Eloqua - Gmail Promotions Tab Annotations

I opened an SR recently about how best to configure Eloqua emails to Annotate in the Gmail Promotions tab and was told that the request was out of scope for support and the PM to answer, so here I am.

Obviously, this is likely easily implemented when using the HTML editor, but when using the Responsive Editor, has anyone had success in implementing this? I assume you'd need to use a "Custom Code" section as part of your email content with the appropriate <script></script> tags defined in the Gmail documentation?

My main concern is that the documentation identifies that the script needs to be in the <head></head> section, so dragging over the "Custom Code" into the body of the email likely will not work. Has anyone done this in Eloqua outside of an HTML email?
