Summary:

Our business case is we have resolved the SR which is automatically set to closed after X number of days. This is set up with the help of a profile option. But would like to understand in detail that what is the lifecycle of an SR. After remaining in closed status, is the SR data being retained for ever or the SR data gets purged automatically after some duration? And if this is the case what is that duration. As our client would like to retain their SR data.

Have gone through all the available documentation but it was not clearly mentioned in any of those.
