Manager selecting a career of interest to a direct report however system is not assigning

Hi
I wonder if you can help. I am logged in as a manager and using "Find Best Fit Job" for a Direct Report. The list is appearing as expected and when I select the appropriate Job Profile and add it as a Career of Interest to my direct report, the system confirms it will assign the profile as a career of interest to the Direct Report however this is not happening and when I navigate to view in the Career development area as a line manager or employee the selected job Profile is not appearing on their Careers
