If you create a transaction with a foreign currency and no rate is set on the conversion date for the specified conversion rate type, an error occurs when you save the transaction.
However, AP had the following description.

If you enable this option, you must enter a conversion rate when you enter an invoice or payment in a currency other than the ledger currency. When you maintain daily rates, the date and rate type you enter helps to automatically derive conversion rates. You can't enter or save the transaction if daily rates don't exist for that date and rate type.(=Same behavior as AR)
