Have there been any developments in the use of JavaScript in Shared Content blocks?

I'm looking to automate the copyright year in email footers using a Shared Content block. I came across this discussion on the topic from last January: https://community.oracle.com/customerconnect/discussion/comment/828924#Comment_828924 It references that the ability to use JavaScript in content blocks was a highly upvoted feature request. Have any 2023 releases addressed this that I may have missed?

If not, I will do a yearly update of a Shared Block - seems easier than orchestrating an automated workaround.
