How to Change Text in Leave and Absence Page/Translation

Hi,

We have a requirement to change some wording in the Leave and Absence page, but only for France. I have been able to make translations in the past by using User Interface Text in a sandbox, but it does not work in this instance.

When I search for the phrase i'm looking to change, it finds it but doesn't replace it in the absence screen with the new wording. Is there another way to translate or change wording that is country specific in this screen?
