Error "Attribute Salesperson Id is required" while settling the claim using rest api

We are using below API to settle the claim but system is throwing an error "Attribute Salesperson Id is required"

https://****/fscmRestApi/resources/11.13.18.05/channelCustomerClaims/1234567890/action/settle

We are using "Open Credit Memo" settlement method and want to settle the claim against the open credit memo.

We tried updating salesperson using REST API but it seems it is not updatable field.

We are stuck. Any help or pointers are appreciated.
