Skip Specific User from Job offer Approval flow

Summary:

We have setup the Job offer approval flow as 2 level of manager approval of hiring manager. Based on who was the hiring manager the approval triggers to our chairman who is not supposed to be part of any approval.

Can i use Prohibit User Self-Approval is not working option for this purpose, if yes which attribute i need to check considering chairman is not an initiator nor requester.

I have tried used the taskowner attribute but that didn't work.

Or there are any other alternates to solve this problem?
