Fast Formula results to include employees with status of Inactive - Payroll Eligible

We are trying to refund an employee who has left our organisation LGPS Added Years which is managed via Calculation Card.

The employee was a late termination and the element is configured to retro, however it is not processing a refund, we have tried to force a negative adjustment but again this hasn't worked.

Is there any specific language or rule that should be present in the formula used to allow the adjustment to take place?

Many thanks for any guidance
