The requirement is as follows:

  • Only the direct reports of a line manager shows up on the line manager's worksheet.
  • The line manager submits his/her worksheet to the HR that responsible for his/her scope.
  • The HR approves the line manager's worksheet.
  • The line manager's worksheet is considered fully approved.

Using the delivered primary manager hierarchy would mean that the worksheet would go all the way up to the CEO. This would not work in our case. The client would like it such that it stops at the N+1. After the N+1 has submitted their changes, the HR would then approve the worksheet.
