Payslip Reprinting Report impact to regenerate payslip file?

Summary:

I recently came across the Payslip Reprinting Report and tested it in our DEV environment and it worked without issue. I am newer to our payroll team and they mentioned they were told not to use this but wasn't sure why. Would any of you know what the possible impact to payroll this could cause? We currently run the Generate Payslip flow and this sends a wage payment file to pay employees. Not sure if these two are related?
