Redwood auto-complete rules

Hello!

Will the Auto-complete rules continue to work in the redwood screens or will all need to be rebuilt in Business Rules?

As I have understood it there may be a difference between Defaulting Rules and Validation Rules where Defaulting rules would need to be rebuilt but Validation rules would not, however I am unsure.
