How to lock and unlock assets from UI and API?

Hi team,


We want to lock an asset so that others cannot make update to it when we are doing any changes, and we need this functionality from both UI and API, I read the documentation but couldn't find any such button. Could you please suggest how we can proceed forward?


Need this on both Installed Base Assets page and Manage Assets page in Maintenance Management.
