Dynamic Calc Member not working

Summary: I have a dynamic calc member I created for one of the reports my client asked for. The calc member works fine when I run the report at bottom levels for this particular dimension. This dimension contains an attribute dimension which is set at the bottom members and I am using the attribute in the report to segregate data between these attributes. When I try to run the report at a parent level, the dynamic calc stops working. Any Ideas why this is happening? is there a way to get around the issue?
