Is there a way to increase the default size of a Multiline Text Area Field or Long Text Field?

Summary:

I have created a custom read only field (not updatable) which contains a Fixed Value. This field has been added to a Create and Detail page layout.

The size of the box initially opens up small as shown in below screenshot (3 lines) however i will like the default size to be bigger as displayed in second screenshot.

If the box is bigger than users will see there is a lot more information than just the 3 lines in the default view it opens in.

Is there a way to create a custom field, which replicate the same size as the Description field
