Best Practise for Disabling certain COA Value Set Values and use another existing VSV in its place

Summary:

We are looking to understand the impact of Disabling certain Value Set Values (Locations) and use another existing Value Set Value in its place.

No change to the COA Segments, only Segment Values are to be updated.

This value is used in various configurations and also will have Open Transactions in AR, AP, FA, SCM, Inventory, etc.

 

What would be the best approach to go about with this?

To start with, Configurations referencing to these old VSVs are to be manually updated or is there any other better options?

Regarding the Open Transactions, what should be done for these?
