Unable to authenticate IMAP for two-way email communication

Summary: Unable to authenticate IMAP for two-way email communication.

Hello there. We are attempting to connect Oracle with our IMAP enabled mailbox for two-way email communication. We have followed the Azure AD app documentation set up and are still receiving a AUTHENTICATE failed (IRC-1590935) error message. Before submitting this to Oracle, the following has been confirmed:

  • Verified the Azure AD app has been created and given the IMAP.AccessAsApp permissions.
  • Verified the mailbox can be signed into.
  • Verified in PowerShell the Service Principle has been created and has the correct AppID and ServiceID.
  • Verified the mailbox listed above has given FullAccess rights to the Service Principal.

Howdy, Stranger!
