What is the best way to add an existing viewpoint to the FCGL app and its export

We currently have an alternate Geography/Market Viewpoint that leverages the same Geo Dimension as our primary FCGL structure. It wasn't until recently that I realized that this viewpoint was not part of the EDMCS to FCGL export and it needed to be. How can I get this hierarchical alternate viewpoint structure to be a part of the export? If I go in and modify the FCGL application registration by adding a new Tree to the Geography segment and call it the same thing (name) and version as the already existing alternate viewpoint, what will happen?

I am trying to avoid having to add a new tree that will then create a new viewpoint and then I have to load to the new viewpoint, rebuild all my hierarchical validations and subscriptions to point to the new alternate viewpoint. I would like to leverage the alternate viewpoint that has already been developed and find some way to get it added to the FCGL export.
