What are the consequences of not activating the GPS function for a field resource?

As part of the implementation of OFS Mobile, we have noticed that when we activate the GPS function for field resources, we give by default and without the possibility of restricting the "Trace" function and the view of the resource in the Dispatcher console via the MAP view.

We can't disable access to the MAP for our dispatchers because they need it. Therefore, we are forced to remove the GPS function from the field resources.

In order to properly explain to our Director the impacts that would be removed from the GPS function, I need to understand the elements that could be impacted.
