credit memo

Experts - I will appreciate if you can help me with how a CM can be cancelled ?

Lets say a Customer asked for a credit due to a shortage of product. Client creates a service request in CX for a credit return order. The status in CX still shows the line is awaiting billing. Customer has called back to let us know they have now found the product. Credit memo needs to be cancelled. How to perform this ?
