How can I 'absorp' a period with an element entry load?
Summary:
How can I 'absorp' a period for a specific element entry?
Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):
Base scenario salary A:
- period 1: start date = 2023/1/1 end date = 2023/1/6
- period 2: start date = 2023/2/6 end date 2023/1/8
- period 3: start date = 2023/2/8 end date 4712/31/12
Above, after above was loaded, needs to be updated towards:
- period 1: start date = 2023/1/1 end date = 2023/1/6
- period 2: start date = 2023/2/6 end date 4712/31/12
If we load this now we receive HDL error mentioning there is an overlapping period.
Is above scenario not possible? Should we first delete the initial load data with a DELETE and after the delete load the new desired scenario via MERGE?
