How can we default value from Sales Contracts DFF to SO EFF attribute

We have a requirement to populate the Sales Order EFF attribute through Contracts DFF value. So, whenever we using Sales agreement in the SO then the respective DFF value in the contract need to populate at the Sales Order EFF attribute. Someone please guide us on this?
