Calling API to perform custom task from orchestration

Summary:

Standard Oracle orchestration does not reserve the inbound supplies like TO or PO. It only reserves the onhand that is available to reserve.

There is a business requirement to perform the reservation against the incoming supplies (which are not already reserved)

Is there a way to call inventoryReservations API from orchestration task after scheduling step? We would of course consider removing the seeded orchestration step and then perform the reservation using this API for full/partial onhand as well as against the full/partial incoming supplies.
