Is there a workaround SP not recognizing future dated effectivity Sourcing rules-unconstrained plan?

edited Mar 6, 2024 1:16PM in Supply Chain Planning and Collaboration 1 comment

Summary:

We have transitions in the months to come and so have sourcing rules that end certain "transfer from" directions and change with a future start date to reverse direction once we have new source. After working an SR, OWC yielded that unfortunately SP sees this as a circular loop because it sees the two orgs affected with different transfer from signals before it ever looks at start and end dates. So it deletes them before plan runs. Future dated rules similar to this worked without issues in ASCP but not since we have gone live on SP Cloud.

While I see another customer has same issue posted in idea lab last fall (idea 726083 - Planned Order is not considering the Sourcing Rule effective dates due to circular loop), has anyone found a work around? Oracle has not yet prioritized a fix for this issue/idea.

Howdy, Stranger!
