Alabama to exempt Overtime Time earnings 2024

Hi,

We have implemented the Alabama SIT exempt feature , but the amount exempted is not correct.

Let me explain with example : Employees hourly rate $49.8

OT hours : 5 Hours per week

So after payroll calc : Total OT hours a rate of multiple 1 is 5 hours (wage: 249 per week)

Premium OT @0.5 multiple is (124.5 per week)

But in New balance wage accumulated on 124.5 per week which after analysis i found that balance is only considering 1/2 of OT calculated.

Question: Why is 1/2 of OT and premium OT is ignored.

Howdy, Stranger!
