Rest of Year Period Member

I'd like to create a ROY (rest of year) member in my period dimension. It should be first forecast month - December. What is the best member formula to do this?

I tried the below, but 1) I'd like to be able to use it in different scenarios and 2) when I change the FcstStartMonth variable, it doesn't seem to pick it up unless I refresh the app. I'm def missing something. any suggestions?
