Default values for Add a Nonworker, but same apply when updating assignment

We created a new Autocomplete Rule to default some of the Employment field values for Nonworkers (like Job, BU, Dept). The rule works as expected when the user adds a new Nonworker via the action 'Add a Nonworker'. But the problem is that the same autocomplete rule applies when attempting to Update an existing Nonworker assignment, resulting in overriding the existing values.
