Limit of characters in text column

Don't able to upload text in Text column with Export - Manage in Workbook Oracle Excel Add-in due to limit of characters.

I saw this publication Compensation Worksheet Column Character Limit — Cloud Customer Connect (oracle.com) and a suggestion was made but I don't know if this option is still enabled in the system : to check 'long text' check box in the custom text columns 11-15.
