Touchless PO getting created but once PO is cancelled then backing requisition goes in buyers queue

I am trying to find out the reasons as to why once a Purchase Order (created by touchless buying process) is cancelled, then the backing requsition of that PO, goes in the process requsitions queue of the PO Buyer. Can anyone please suggest the possible reasons for the same.
