Seniority Date Position Reclassification LOV

Summary:

When looking at the Position LOV for Position Seniority Date rule, we are presented with the latest name of the Position. However, this is causing confusion internally because that employee was never in that position. The position has been reclassified and renamed (using same position number). However, back in 07.14.2016 that position was called "Human Resource Analyst II", can we display the name of the position based on the date for that position record. See screenshot.

Or is there a better way at achieving what we want?
