Is there functionality in EPM to create a relative timespan?

Summary: Looking for a way to have reports, automations and various other processes run based on a relative timespan. The goal of this would be to not require updating system variables.

Example: I want a report with three columns to run for Two years prior, Prior year and Current year. If I use a global variable, I can set CurYear to the current year, and then the report will dynamically figure out the other two columns, but is there a capability for the report to be completely dynamic, meaning instead of me plugging the year I want for current year, I could set up a dynamic variable that would be relative to some value, such as the system date.
