OCI: FSS NFS File System Snapshot Is Displayed in the Mounted List (df-h output)
in Linux
Applies To:
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Linux OS
Symptoms
FSS NFS file system snapshots are displayed in the mounted list on the Linux instance without any action.
An automatic mounting of a file system snapshot is observed, as evident in the output of the df -h
command where it appears as mounted. This situation appears unconventional and is not considered a standard operation.
Multiple snapshot entries in mount command output:
# mount | grep -i snapshot <IP-ADDRESS>://<REMOTE-DIR>/.snapshot/<DIR> on /<MOUNT-TARGET>/.snapshot/<DIR> type nfs (rw,relatime,vers=3,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,namlen=255,hard,proto=tcp,timeo=14,retrans=2,sec=sys,local_lock=none,addr=<IP-ADDRESS>) <IP-ADDRESS>://<REMOTE-DIR>/.snapshot/<DIR> on /<MOUNT-TARGET>/.snapshot/<DIR> type nfs (rw,relatime,vers=3,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,namlen=255,hard,proto=tcp,timeo=14,retrans=2,sec=sys,local_lock=none,addr=<IP-ADDRESS>) <IP-ADDRESS>://<REMOTE-DIR>/.snapshot/<DIR> on /<MOUNT-TARGET>/.snapshot/<DIR> type nfs (rw,relatime,vers=3,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,namlen=255,hard,proto=tcp,timeo=14,retrans=2,sec=sys,local_lock=none,addr=<IP-ADDRESS>)
