Process Contingent Workers as External Candidates feature

Hi,
I have followed the guidance provided in the documentation to process Contingent Workers as External Candidates but cannot see any changes/impact in the application.
Post enabling, this is the behaviour we see:
- If a CWK uses the external careers site to apply for a job using the same personal email as the existing CWK record, the candidate type is Contingent
- If If a CWK uses the external careers site to apply for a job using their work email updated in their user record, the candidate type is Contingent
- Only if a CWK uses the external careers site to apply for a job using a new personal email, a new record is created and the candidate type is External
