How balance is generated for our account 36050501?

We have the account 36050501, which is Owner's Equity type. This account doesn't generates any journal entry, but it has a balance.

According to what we understand, it works by a standard functionality of Ledger Year End Closing Process ( Doc ID 66532.1 ). But, how exactly does it work? How can an account that doesn't generate journal entries has a balance?
