Is there anyway we can park Journals until we ready to send it for Approval

Summary:

Currently We have ESS scheduled AutoPost Journals every 1 hr which is actually sending it for Journal Approval without user click on for Approval.

Right now - all these Journals are upload via Spreadsheet and By Default Complete Status - Completed for uploaded Journals , due to this AutoPost Journals which runs every 1 hr sending this Journal for next level , because of this Issue - Users sometime unable to attach attachments on In-process Journals. So we would like to park it until we are ready to click on Request for Approval , Is there better way to handle to case ?
