What is the impact of having an identical ElqTrackId value in two or more emails?

In the Eloqua documentation it specifically warns against copying an email and retaining the ElqTrackId values in the resulting new email.

We do have some emails with ElqTrackId values that appear in more than one asset, but have not seen any impact on report metrics as yet.

What is the actual impact (negative or otherwise) of having the same value in more than one email?
