Compensation worksheet approval is not triggered

Summary:

Dear Experts,

I have an workforce compensation plan with an alternate manager hierarchy. In the preview it shows it will go the employees as desired. But when I submit the worksheet for approval there is no record of it in the transaction console neither its getting triggered to the expected person as per the hierarchy.

what am I missing here?
