Redwood: Type to search fields are case sensitive on delivered fields

In Redwood, any field that is delivered can only be searched on a case sensitive basis. Is there a way to make the type to search fields case agnostic for delivered fields? We are not seeing this behavior on DFFs. This only occurs on delivered fields (FROM (i.e. Action on When and Why or Job/Department/Position in assignment region) TO (i.e. Action on When and Why or Establishment/BargainingUnit in assignment region))
