OTBI report only showing an individual's supervisor and manager

Summary:

I have a requirement to create a report showing each workers named supervisor and line manager (mostly these are the same person, but in some cases they're different.

Every time I use matrix manager the result brings up the entire workers reporting line going to the very top of the chain - how can I limit this to only show an individuals line manager AND supervisor in different columns

so ideally one row per person showing their supervisor, and their manager.

I've tried every which way and I've followed some fantastic contributions on here, but I can't get it to work.
