whether the routing of approval reverts to the original hierarchy after the vacation rule is disable

Question is whether the routing of approval reverts to the original hierarchy after the vacation rule is disabled or stays with the hierarchy based on the vacation rule when requisition was submitted.

The requisition approval was sent to Approver A (delegated from Approver B due to vacation rule), however requisition was not approved until after Approver B returned from vacation and rule was disabled. But approval remains with Approver A, is this expected behaviour?

User is expecting the approval hierarchy should move back to Approver B.
