Helper in Report mode logs "Extensible flexfields cannot be migrated" with odd API calls

Summary:

I am running the Helper Tool in read only mode with "Include Flexfields" set to Checked. The environment URL and user credentials are provided
On compeltion it reports errors have occurred "process completed with errors." and a Migration log file.

What I see in the log file looks like the Rest APIs are generating odd URLS such as adding "NA" to "null" as part of the paths generating 404 page not found errors.

Is it a case that Report mode is deliberatly generating invalid URLs vs migration mode to block download (I have not tried migration mode yet).
